Facility Coordinator

About the Role
As a Facility Coordinator, you will support operational activities and ensure they are executed in accordance with facility standards. You play a key role in coordinating facility-related processes and maintaining effective collaboration between internal departments and external suppliers. Your goal is to ensure smooth, safe, and cost-efficient facility operations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes by requesting quotes and negotiating service and maintenance contracts with suppliers (e.g., packing machines, equipment, cleaning, catering, workwear, energy, waste management, pest control).
Act as the point of contact for on-site mechanics, suppliers, and support services.
Coordinate services performed by external suppliers to ensure optimal service levels at favorable costs.
Report irregularities to the Facility Supervisor or Warehouse Manager and initiate appropriate corrective actions (internal or external).
Actively contribute to and follow up on the RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation) action plan.
Work in accordance with work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Basic knowledge of a (complex) logistics environment or willingness to acquire this knowledge.
Good command of Dutch and English (both verbal and written).
Strong communication skills.
Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach.
