ASML is a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, whose lithography machines enable the production of the most advanced microchips used in devices worldwide. Within their People Services organization, operational excellence, scalability and human-focused service are key. In this role, you will contribute to optimizing HR processes, improving service quality, and supporting a high-performing international workforce in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
You are a proactive, structured HR professional who combines operational insight with a passion for continuous improvement. You bring a strong understanding of HR service delivery models and are comfortable navigating a complex, fast-paced organization. You’re not only focused on fixing processes, you also raise the bar for the team around you.
Your responsibilities:
- You lead HR improvement projects that involve multiple teams, departments or countries, from identifying what’s not working, to making real changes in how HR processes run;
- You spot opportunities to make HR workflows faster, clearer or more consistent, and take the lead in improving them;
- You support colleagues in Tier 1 (first-line HR support) by helping them understand complex topics and making sure they can handle more cases independently;
- You act as the go-to person (Tier 2) for HR questions that are too complex or sensitive for first-line support, for example, special cases in sick leave, policy exceptions, or legal questions;
- You make sure that HR processes follow internal policy and legal rules, especially when it comes to employee absence and reintegration in the Netherlands;
- You work closely with HR experts and internal departments to make sure everyone is aligned and working in the same direction;
- You monitor how well HR processes are running by looking at data and performance reports — and take action where needed;
- You help create a culture of continuous improvement by always asking: can this be done better, smarter, or more consistently?
- You share your knowledge, coach colleagues, and contribute to raising the overall quality and capability of the HR operations team;
When new HR policies are introduced (such as changes in labor conditions or legal updates), you translate them into clear steps and practical workflows for the team.

Within ASML, you will be part of the People Services organization, responsible for delivering high-quality HR operations and service to a rapidly growing international workforce. More specifically, you will join the Process & Policy team within the People Operations EU structure, where global processes meet local execution. Wie ben je?
- At least 5 years of experience in HR operations, HR shared services, or HR process/project management within a large, international organization;
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO/WO), preferably in HRM, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Availability for a 6-month full-time assignment, with flexibility to start on short notice;
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and global service delivery models (Tier 0–2);
- Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus);
- Proficient in working with HR systems and data-driven reporting;
- Skilled in translating policy and legal requirements into practical procedures and tools;
- Experience with Dutch labor law and reintegration processes is a strong plus.
Wat mag je verwachten?
- A full-time day shift assignment of 40 hours per week (32 hours is negotiable);
- Hybrid working options (partially remote, partially on-site in Veldhoven);
- A competitive hourly rate between €26 and €30, depending on experience;
- Additional profit share per hour on top of the base rate;
